Ian will be missed

It is with great sadness that we have to report the death of Ian Fisher, he was a monumental figure in the development and running of Knoticat for so many years.

He was our senior Skipper and always exhibited that calm, dignified and totally unflappable/reassuring personality ....... such that we used to call him 'Sergeant Wilson' after the amazing character in Dads Army. Many of you who have been coming with Knoticat over the years will have happy memories of Ian. Certainly he was the sort of person you never forget and we would all hope to aspire to be like him...... but some people are just unique! Dave Creech always says about Ian, 'that if you you cut him in half, just like a stick of rock, he would have Knoticat written in bold letters inside!’ What a Skipper and what a man ...... he will be sadly missed.

You can see him in action on the video ‘Fun on the Boat’ on the Home page.
